The words go nowhere or nothing is typed
Check that the phone isn't on a guest network or mobile data, and that the player is on. On iPhone, Settings › Speakremote › Local Network must be on. You can also enter the player's IP address by hand on the "No Zidoo found" screen; you find it on the player under its network settings. If the router gives the player a new address, the app looks for it again by itself.
Connecting Trakt
Wake-on-LAN must be enabled in the player's settings, and it usually needs the player on a network cable rather than Wi-Fi. Some players can only be woken from standby, not when fully switched off.
— Speakremote Bridge
Installing the bridge on your player
The bridge lets the mic button in Nuvio and other TV apps start listening on your phone, and carries subtitles from your phone to Nuvio.
1. On the player, open a downloader app with the address of the Speakremote page, or copy the APK to a USB stick and open it with the file manager.
2. Allow that app to install unknown apps, then install.
3. Open Speakremote Bridge once and select Allow microphone. It needs this to act as the player's voice input, though it records nothing.
4. If it says other speech engines are installed, uninstall them.
5. Open Speakremote on the phone, keep it on screen, press the mic in Nuvio with the remote and speak.
